From Türkiye to a global market.
Univenn was built in Türkiye and aimed elsewhere. The founding decision was to treat the local market as one market among many rather than as the home base the product would later be adapted from.
That choice showed up everywhere. Pricing, onboarding, support hours and the shape of the product itself were set for customers the team had not met yet, in time zones nobody in the office worked in.
The cost was early and real. Selling into markets where the company had no reputation meant a longer first year and a harder first hundred customers. The benefit arrived later, when expansion needed no rebuild.
The company now serves customers in more than 30 countries with a team of 60, growing roughly 5× a year. The product never had to be translated into a global one, because it was never a local one.
We thought global from day one. We designed the product for the world, not a single market, and that decision changed everything; we refused to think small from the very start.
